500ml bottle: This one pours a hazy, dark amber color. There was about a finger of a light khaki head on it. Nice nose. Smoky and some peaty notes. Not overly smoky, but it kind of overpowers anything else that may be in there. The taste is good. Some smokiness and peat, a bit of graininess. The smoke isn’t overdone. A touch of dryness to the finish. Nice!

500ml brown bottle, sample from the brewery.
Clear reddish orangey brown hue, amazing lacing action. Smoke is the nose is spot on, very pleasant ... lots of sniffing. Clean and smooth palate, dry graininess with layers of smoke and toasted malt. High on drinkability even with the semi-aggressive smokiness. A real treat to taste and quaff back.
