Poured out of a bomber into a pint glass. I had to pour in short bursts to prevent too much head building up.
L: Pours extremely foamy with some pretty aggressive bubbling. Foam settles slowly, and leaves a bit of lacing down the side of the glass. Once it settles down, it's a slightly translucent brown/amber color with a white head. Clear, but can't see all the way through the glass.
S: Subtle aromas mainly of grape, but mixed with some bread, and toffee. A little bit of alcohol as well.
T: Pretty mild. Bready and slightly floral with notes of grape Finishes with an earthy bitterness that is almost pleasant, a little bit more bitter than what I've had in Dusseldorf. Almost makes it feel a little less balanced.
F: Very carbonated. Finishes dry with a bitterness that gets a bit better as you drink. That dry lager feeling stays with you for a while.
O: Unfortunately for me the carbonation was just too much to get past. It prevented the beer from drinking smoothly and masked a lot of the flavor. Also felt a bit unbalanced.

A - Extremely effervescent pale amber hazy body quickly raises a big bubbly head. The head dissipates quite quickly and doesn't leave much lacing.
S - Sour grapes and malt, but not very fragrant.
T - Nice crisp dry start, citrus hops and fresh cut grass, but not very bitter. Earthy, doughy malts are light and more subtle, receding to a dry hoppy finish.
M - Medium/light body with high carbonation from the bottle conditioning. Slick and clean, not sticky.
O - This was really great. The flavors are a bit one note, but a fortunately a note I really enjoy. The the combination of light, highly carbonated body, lack of malt sweetness, and citrus hop makes this very refreshing. As a New Hampshirite, I gladly support this beer.

From the 650 ml bottle. Sampled on November 27, 2014-Thanksgiving. Served about 50 degrees.
Heady reddish brown pour.
Full sweet toasted malt aroma.
Medium and smooth body.
The taste is definitely malt forward, sweet, with a slight bitterness at the end. Good flavor and represents the style properly.

I was excited to finally see some Prodigal offerings in my area, so I grabbed this 22oz bomber about a week ago. Dug into it today outside, while enjoying some warm, late Fall sunshine.
Popped the cap and it started to slowly foam over. Poured into a Sammy perfect-pint glass, it was a cloudy, golden amber/copper color. There was a healthy amount of carbo emanating from the bottom of the glass, and the head was a 2" dollop of light tan foam. The topping lasted quite well and left very nice lacing behind. The aroma was quite mild and hard to pinpoint. Was a bit bready and also floral, but seemed home-brewish. Body was a decent medium, and the prickle was light to medium on the tongue.
Flavor had a bit of caramel and butterscotch, but was quite light on sweetness. It was much more fruity, with notes of pear and green apple, almost bordering on sourishness. Quite a bit of the fruity bitterness lingered on the palate. It really needed a lot more maltiness, and less fruity action. I also agree with an earlier reviewer about the fermenting temps. Reminded me of some of my early home-brewing attempts. An overall disappointment.... Prosit!

Bottle at the Southern New Hampshire Brewers fest 7/26/2013
Slightly hazy medium golden color with a smallish off white head that dissipates quickly. Sweet honey and bready malts with almost no hop aroma. Sweet honey light bready malt flavor with hints of fruit and a touch of buttered popcorn. Medium body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. Decent brew, but seems like it might have been fermented too warm. Not as crisp as some alts I've had.
