Large pizza joint brewpub on west side of town. Very much a locals hangout. Small U-shaped bar to the left of entry seats about 15 with 30 plus tables about the room. 5 house beers and 20 guest taps, half craft, half MBC. Friendly bartender. Lunch special personal pizza was very tasty and reasonably priced.

One of the better places in Corpus Christi to get good brews! I prefer this location (Stapples) to the other (SPID). Slightly more laid back at the bar. They make their own brew and I was pleasantly surprised at how good the beers they make are. There are plenty of beers on tap both local and from around the country. They also have several beers in bottles to choose from. If you are unsure of what to order the staff can help you find a beer to your liking.
The pizza's are awesome! After all what goes better with beer than pizza! You can pick your toppings or pick one from the menu.
If you are a craft beer lover in Corpus this is a good place to fill your need!

B&J's expanded and opened this place on Staples, past Saratoga.
This place has the same format as the original in Habeeb Square off SPID. The ordering/paying procedures are the same, as well as the layout. The difference being it's a newly built bigger and better building.
Personally I prefer this place over the original. As a whole, it doesn't look as run down. The bar area is cleaner and less dusty. Also the lighting in the bar area doesn't look as tired as the original.
The quality of service is good. It's pretty much a laid back self serve place. Aside from the bartender, there will be minimal staff interaction - the cashier and the server brining your food.
The bartenders are cool enough-very friendly. Depending on the bartender it will be hit or miss as far as beer knowledge. (I like the bartenders here compared to the SPID joint-they're more interactive.)
Their bottle selection is much better at this place compared to the original. The import selection is more extensive. As a whole, American craft/micro brews dominate the selection. They typically carry the normal cast of micro characters.
They have chilled pint glasses in the cooler for your beer bottles. If there is not then go to the bartender and he will happily give you one.
This may not be important if you're just visiting, but B&J,s does have a beer club that encourages its members to try out new beers. It's like a mini version of BA. You can check their website for more details.
Overall, this restaurant has the biggest selection of beer bottles in Corpus. I often shake my head while at this place. Despite the extensive selection there are still nimrods that reach for the Miller Lite!
Note: Some people in Corpus might tell you that B&J's has 300+ beers. This is simply not true. This B&J's does come close. I counted approx. 250. Warning on the price: read my review for the SPID joint.
