Presentation: Small sifter glass - just the right amount.
Appearance: Dark, extremely dark, muck like Mackesons Tripple Stout.
Smell: Rich, earthy, inspired and flavored by the tannins that appear, albeit lightly within the white oak wood (Quercus alba) America's longest lived oak (500 years +.)
Taste: Rich and warm, sweet but not too sweet, it starts with smokey flavors imparted by the wood conditioning and than comes around with a rich grain body. This is a beer from "mother earth."
Mouthfeel: Warm, full body, just the right crisp feel.
Drinkability: I like to savor this one, you can tell it takes time to make as it derserves time to enjoy it fully.
Comments: Man, great job here, it made my day! I did not want another beer after this one in combination with the great food, it was the last thing I wanted to remember as I walked away from a truly great stout. Well done!
