7.2 ABV & 60 IBU. Available at the Offshore brewpub in Oaks Bluff (Martha's Vineyard) this somewhat unique brew pours a hazy amber with a fair off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is a light biscuit wheat with sweet malt, not too strong. The flavor brings malt and toffee, light alcohol presence and a spritely carbonation. It's advertized to have Belgian qualities and it does offer a bit of that alcohol and hops feel almost like licorice, but overall I pick up more of a maltiness with some banana and light floral hops. It has a beautiful midrange body for this style. Quite drinkable for this type of brew, as well. Quite impressive. The definition of this brew was not clear in the available menu listing but it refers to "Belgian style" and had pale ale qualities so I am terming this a belgian pale Ale, but that may not be wholey accurate. Either way, I liked it very much.
