Poured into a tulip on 6/5 at the brewery..I believe this is the appropriate style, but it was just listed as a strong Belgian style ale.
Appearance: high carbonation, one inch head, orange-brown in color, hazy
Smell: pineapple and caramel
Taste: big caramel, brown sugar, you can taste the alcohol in the middle, light pine and Belgian spice comes in at the end.
Mouthfeel: sweet with big alcohol burn, moderate carbonation, and light bodied
Overall: I love the complexity of the malt and other flavors. If it were not for the high abv, which I did not think to write down, I would drink this all day. I would get this again in a heart beat. It drinks similar to an English Barley wine with a touch of Belgian spices.
