clear reddish amber (duh) with a thick and creamy one-finger head in a Duvel tulip. sheet-like lacing. lots of bubbles, very lively.
nose is extremely sweet with a roasted malt character and bitter dark fruits.. hints of pumpkin and coriander. spicy. body is light and leaning towards over-carbonation. very bitter amber with a big raisin and date flavor, bitter perhaps with the stems of said fruits. this bitterness fights (like hector) with a tart freshness in the finish... some light hops and just-cut green apple. botanical flavors (stems) linger..
completely hides the 7.7% abv and is a decent belgian session beer despite its complexity.. confusion... light and flavorful, i would gladly revisit this beer. balance is off but not terribly so.
best thing about it? contact info on label is a gmail account. that's why they call them MICRObrews.

Bottled Apr. 16 2005. Brewed for brouwerij Sublim.
Good poorout with overwelming head and nice & clear amber beer. Nose is very spicy, hoppy but with vegetables. To bad of the vegynose, otherwise quiet good. Good maltyness with obvious roast usage.
Taste also quiet full and bitter. Roasty, litle caramellic and fine malts. Good alcoholic bite between taste and aftertaste that is bitter alcoholic. Fullness of the brew, alcohol, bitterness and carbonisation all in harmony and an enjoyable beer.
