Copenhagen 2/10 2023. 33 cl bottle from Spar, Langestraat, Oostende. An orange label with a cartoonish drawing of a blue-skinned Sea King.
Pours unclear pale yellow with a big white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin patchy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sugary, malty odor with a light touch of yeast and a bit of sour grains. Sweet pale malts and moldy, humid cellar. White sugar, bread and grains.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Lingers for a while. Finish is sugary and a bit boozy.
Potent, sweet and a bit flat.
