Copenhagen 1/5 2020. 33 cl bottle from Belgisk Bryg, Emdrup Mosevej, Kbh. NV. Ruins of a Kathar castle on the label.
Pours slightly unclear pale yellow with a big, fluffy, white head. Settles as 1 cm thick fluffy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet maltiness and notable citrus sour notes. Sweet banana mingling with tart citrus. Touch of humid basement.
Fairly strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a moderately strong sweetness followed by a quite strong citric sour bitterness. Aftertaste is sourish and bitter. Lingers for a bit. semi-dry finish.
A fine almost Saison-like brew with good intensity and a nice sour-bitter twist.
