Copenhagen 25/4 2020. 33 cl bottle from Belgisk Bryg, Emdrup Mosevej, Kbh. NV. Drawing of young price riding a barrel with legs holding a goblet of barrel aged beer on the label.
Pours murky, dark brown with a small off-white head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet base soon overpowered of a more spicy, whisky-soaked odor. Caramel, toffee and a bit of brown sugar. Whisky, wood, leather and alcohol peeking in sharply.
Strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong, sugary sweetness followed by a spicy, boozy bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a prominent presence of alcohol. Lingering. Finish has a light boozy burn.
Nice heart warming quadrupel where the barrel aging has a strong presence of whisky and wood.
