Pours a bit of a hazy yellow with gold tint; pure white head that looks nice and then fades rather quickly.
Nose is bitter light citrus esters. No really the IPA nose one desires; but it's pleasant.
Mouth feel is light carbonation and really nice balance.
Flavor profile is a pine bitter somewhat simplistic (but good) flavor profile. There are no fruit or sweet notes to this but the pine character and bitter tones are well balanced. Hints of celery, bell pepper, salt and white pepper.
Very complex and long lasting bitter finish. Finish is the strength of this one.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a hazy, medium golden amber with a half finger fine white head with great retention and lost of lacing. Nice aroma of caramel malt, tropical fruit, orange citrus, sweet lemon drops, mildly floral and interesting. Flavor is mild caramel malt, tropical fruit, quite resinous and lightly dank hop bitterness with little herbal flavor to support it, fresh cut wood, grapefruit rind. Good lingering and resinous citrus hop bitterness in the finish. Good, lightly creamy body with a good mouth feel. A well hopped American style IPA with an amazing aroma that just wasn't followed up by the flavor. Although there are some good hop flavors hovering around here, they do not overcome the astringent woodiness of the resinous hop bitterness. I found myself taking a big whiff with each taste because I really liked the aroma, but hoped for more hop flavor. I enjoyed drinking this despite the lack of balance, but this is a style with some pretty stiff competition and this one didn't make the must-drink cut. Sure wish the flavor matched the smell; I really enjoyed that. I like this brewery and look forward to anything they make that travels to my area.

From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham, Washington. Hazy amber with a modest foam in the Affligem chalice. A little bit of sweetness and faint malt flavor. Sprightly carbonation.
Serous leaf mold flavor, dirty and funky. I think of shredded bark, though I"ve never tasted it. Extremely bitter. Interesting hop flavors that are devoid of fruit but so woody and dank. This all gets very tiresome. Is there a hint of plastic, or is it some peculiar resiny tang? Not very drinkable.

22oz bomber
A — Pours a deep golden amber color with a thin off white head, minimal lacing.
S — Smells of light hop, citrus, bitter, mostly grainy though, quite malty.
T — Tastes of light pine and citrus character, leads to an overly malty and underwhelming profile.
M — Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, quick finish.
O — Disappointing, could have used some more hop presence and a better overall balance.
