Pours hazy straw with a small, rapidly dissipating head. citrus peel, cinnamon, banana, cloves. Big doughy yeasty notes. Flavours include more cinnamon, wheat, cidery notes and little else.

Nose shows cidery notes, citrus peel, cinnamon, banana, cloves. Not sure what this is aiming for, hefe or wit. Reminiscent of T58 yeast. Big doughy yeasty notes.
Flavours include more cinnamon, wheat, cidery notes and little else.
Could use more carbonation.
To make things worse, the last two slabs we got of this were infected.... Not a good track record.

Had on tap at the New Sydney Hotel in Hobart.

Pours a cloudy but bright pale lemon colour. Head is pure white, but with quite a frothy bubble to it. Lacing forms in honeycombed patterns crusting down the side of the glass. Looks decent.

Slight wheat acidity on the nose, but that's about as close as it gets to proper witbier territory. Some sweetness, a bit of armpit and a slight twinge of organic freshness, but it's very light. No spice, no depth.

Taste is also very light. Sweet graininess on the back makes the whole beer taste both hopless and spiceless. Carbonic acidity on the back just froths the palate, even though it's empty. Some wheaty grain, and an almost Pride of Ringwood sting. Eh.

Feel is light and empty.

Drinkable enough in its way, but it feels too sweet without any spice or anything to cut it back.

This pours a very cloudy light golden colour with a very sizable fluffy white head from a very gentle pour.

The citrus aromas jump out of the glass as soon as it is poured. The coriander takes a while but it gets there.

Definite yeastiness on the palate. Not as clean as I hoped. In each mouthful there will be something pleasant followed by something just not quite right.

Very high carbonation. The bloat factor after a few of these would be high.

This one really didn't do it for me.

I'm all for bottle conditioned beer, but this one goes overboard with the cloudy appearance. Soapy bubbly head. High carbonation.

Smell however, is a big improvement. Nice yeast and wheat character. Not the most refined wit, but not bad.

Banana, spicy, sharp yeast and wheat all in the mix. Something else there though that sort of puts it off. Makes it feel a bit dirty, in a way. Not sure what, may be a fermentation or hop character coming through that just doesn't sit well. Just doesn't finish as nicely as I would like.

Anyway a passable beer, but the wit style is not terribly forgiving. And this one shows a few flaws that the best of the style do not have.
