Pours amber with a lasting head.
Nose shows caramel, nutty malt and soft minty and floral hops. A bit weird, not exactly hoppy.
Flavours include nutty, toasty and almost peated (???) malt alongside some very soft spicy hops and a bit of booze.
Could use more carbonation.
Seems more like an altbier with peated malt than an IPA....

500 ML bottle poured into a pint glass. Bought at Crown Cellars in Launceston. Had earlier in the night at Stillwater Restaurant.
2011 Release English IPA--- English Malts with Fuggle and Golding hops.
A-- Poured a hazy orange amber color. Good glow to the beer. One finger off white head that slowly faded to film. Film stuck around through drinking and some head retention. A little bit of spotty lacing but otherwise a pretty nice looking beer.
S-- Earthy citrus notes, especially lemon. Some orange marmalade as well. Light Toffee nose.
T-- Once again earthy citrus but a more noticeable malt backbone. Well balanced between malt and hops in the taste. Well balanced bitterness. Just a bit to lemony at times though.
M-- Medium to low body and medium to low carbonation. Quite oily feel. Toffee biscuit mid palate and Bitter tart lemon finish to this. Builds well to the finish in each sip.
O-- Well hidden ABV and very drinkable. Would love to see this on a hand pump. Well balanced and quite drinkable. Good use of wasting malt and hops.
