Black with some clarity; thick tan head; some lace, cap dissipated quickly. Bittersweet dark chocolate and burnt toast nose; toffee and plum notes emerge as liquid warms. Dry roasted malt and cocoa powder flavors give way to creamy toffee and plums. Dry, smooth medium mouthfeel with moderate plus carbonation. Overall, bittersweet chocolate and long lingering roasty malts; rich and complex, alcohol is present, yet fruit and roast flavors dominate. Still, everything is well balanced and nuanced.
