Slightly earthy and with notes of chocolate and roast this is a fairly classic Schwartzbier.
Dark brown verging onto black with a nice creamy light tan head. Good lacing. 4
Light minerality and a moderate dose of roast are good. This beer is deftly balanced with the roast remaining a support player to the whole.
Medium-full body with moderately low carbonation. Smooth. 4
A good beer with lots going for it. The rich maltiness is complemented well by the serving temperature and carbonation. Good.
