Appearance: Bit of a gusher, 4 finger head took a while to die down and left a lot of lace. Beer is hazy, brown, and looks a bit flat.
Aroma: Musty malt extract note, some earthy hop notes.
Taste: Sweet malt has some grape esters that blend with the musty note in the smell. Hop profile is citric and pine and tasty.
Mouthfeel: Med. low carbonation, medium body, clean finish
Overall: Sweeter than I like, but in the style range and pretty tasty. Not much to look at though.

Appearance: This is a dark amber color, clear with lots of carbonation. The head is thick, foamy and billowy, very inviting to look at. Thick lacing to mar every sip.
Smell: Sweet, fruity and mild cranberry.
Taste: Sweet overall, mild tart fruity taste, not bad, mild on the hops, leans slightly towards being malt heavy.
Mouthfeel: medium to light bodied, smooth and easy to enjoy.
Overall: good introductory IPA, sweet, not too hoppy and smooth.

just okay for me on this one, lots of malt and not a ton of hop flavor considering the varietals used, it feels bigger than it is, sits a little heavy, but isnt a bad beer at all. looks nice in the glass, really active tall khaki head on this comprised of a million tiny bubbles that take their time bursting and settling. the beer is clear and red, perfect amber color, really nice. smells good, more hoppy than it tastes for sure, lots of caramelized grain sugars too, a hint of dried cherry or something too. the flavor is more hops up front than to finish, so it ends up a little sweet on the malt side of things. deep toasty notes, honey, and then cascade or columbus hops above the others, some bitterness, but not enough to make this as balanced as it might be. short of ipa for sure in my book. decent carbonation but it sags a little when it warms up. decent beer overall, my first from these guys. thanks to drlovemd87 for sharing this texas brew with me. looks like they have a neat portfolio of beers...

6er from sunrise on anderson in the atx. $8.99. looks nice, smells mild, tastes big with bitter hops, grassy malt, buttery bread, and some unexpected fruit. yes there is a note of gummy bears. this is a good red pale ale from a brewery i was not aware of. at $8.99 for a 6.3%abv this is a great choice all day long.

Poured from bottle dated July 15 (six months old). Perfect, clear dark red body with slight cream color head. Decent lacing on the way down.
Medium body is well carbonated. Aroma is almost non-existent, but it's an aging ipa so that is to be expected. Even so, the taste is very crisp and sweet up front with a strong bitterness, taste of pine and grapefruit hops in the close.
Overall, this is excellent. I had neglected it in my fridge since summer and decided to give it a go before it got too old. Glad I did, and I'll remember to revisit the fresh version too!
