Must have a bad batch, this one had the aroma of band-aid beer. No sweetness, and no strawberry at all.

Poured at 51°F from a 22oz bottle into a Spiegelau Stout glass. Consumed on 11Jul16.
SMELL: Strong aromas of sweet and tart strawberries fused with chocolate milk are complemented by the mild aromas of sweetened coffee, caramel, toffee, and vanilla. The subtle amounts of bitter roasted malt and alcohol aromas are present in just the right quantity such that they don't interfere with the main aromas. The coconut that I had hoped would be stronger can barely be detected.
4.5 out of 5
TASTE: Strong chocolate milk flavors flow on to the taste buds to begin the symphony of sweetness. Mild flavors of sweet strawberry immediately proceed the chocolatey goodness. A slight balance emerges as mild flavors of bittersweet coffee enter while the strawberry flavors grow stronger. The balance rapidly shifts in favor of the sweet side as mild caramel and toffee flavors join in. Balance is restored and the symphony comes to a close as subtle flavors of bitter roasted malts along with hints of alcohol, coconut, and band-aid appear lastly while all other flavors maintain.
4.25 out of 5.
NOTE: This was bigger, better, yet less bitter than their normal strawberry milk stout. This was a great display of sweetness that might not satisfy those who love a bitter stout. The coconut was nearly gone, but I blame time for that. I am certain it would have been there if this were more fresh. What concerns me is the band-aid flavors that I was perceiving. Although only in hints, that is not a flavor that I want in a beer. I hope they make this again next year. I would love to see what it would taste like when fresh.
