CAN:

Mild chile heat dominates. I assume the malt backbone is 2-row but if you gave this to me in a blind tasting in which I couldn't see the beer I doubt I'd know if it was pale malt or amber malt. It's not unrefreshing.

A nicely executed chile beer, if a simple one-dimensional one. Possibly the best beer I've tried from Ranger Creek - not that that's saying much.

$ 9.09 (Including tax and discount)/six-pack of 12 oz cans ($ 0.126/oz) from Spec’s, DeZavala, San Antonio, TX. Reviewed 8/29/18.
“Batch 1, Canned on 07/23/18”, stored on the shelf in the store. Served 42 degrees in a hand washed and dried 16 oz glass coffee mug.
Appearance – 3.
Body – Light yellow, very slight haze.
Head – Small (Maximum 1.5 cm, aggressive center pour), white, low density, fizzy, gone nearly instantly leaving no ring, layer, or lacing.
Lacing – None.
First pour – Very light yellow, clear.
Aroma – 3 - None.
Flavor – 3 – Just chilis and a slight burn. No malt. No alcohol, no diacetyl, no dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 3 – Medium, watery, lively carbonation.
Impression and interpretation – 3 – Kind of like drinking water that’s been used to soak peppers – it gives a mild burn and has a bit of chili pepper flavor. There is no hint of beer.

Pours a medium gold color. Poured with absolutely no head. This is a first. No lacing of course. Carbonation looks minimal through the glass. Literally looks like a Duvel tulip filled with apple juice.

Plenty of hatch in that I can say. Not much else. If you pay attention you can get a sort of generic beer quality.

Spicy. Again mostly just hatch chili. There is this time around more of a grainy type flavor.

A bit watery and under carbonated. eh.
