On tap at the Flying Saucer in Houston.

A: Pours a clear straw yellow. Very good clarity. A two finger white head forms with good retention. Nice lace is left behind as well.
S: Toasted gains, biscuit malts, earthy yeast. Enjoyable, but not a lot of depth.
T: Follows the nose with lots of toasted grains and biscuit malt. The earthy lager yeast is prominent as well. Enjoyable, but I wish there was a bit more going on.
M/D: A light body, crisp carbonation, very dry, and clean. An easy beer to quaff. Good for the hot Texas summers.

Certainly enjoyable, and a nice lager. I have no problem putting back a few. Very much worth a try, but I have had better lagers and Ranger Creek does much better IMO. Regardless, another welcome addition to the Texas beer seen.

On tap at the Flying Saucer in downtown Houston.

A- golden hazy straw colored appearance, with a frothy white 2 finger head

S- overall muted, but smells of grains and wheat.

T- this beer took me off guard, simply the best lager I've had the pleasure of tasting. The taste is crsip and clean, and reminds me of a very yeasty whole grain bread. Finishes with the smallest bit of spicy hops. Finishes dry and pleasant.

M- Just about right for the style, refreshing and not shy on the carbonation.

O- If you can appreciate the subtlety of a nicely crafted lager this a must try. Its like an artisan loaf of whole grain bread transformed into a thirst quenching fermented liquid form. I'll be seeking this one out this summer.

Ordered a pint at the local Flying Saucer on the release day. It arrived with a frothy white head. It looked straw colored. Smelled great and tasted sweeter than I expected. The mouth feel was clean and crisp. Overall a very refreshing lager to cool your parched mouth after a long day in the Texas heat.
