On tap at the Flying Saucer in Houston.
A: Pours a very cloudy, nearly opaque golden/orange color. A two finger white head forms with excellent retention. The rocky foam leaves rings of spiderweb looking lace.
S: Husky wheat, grains, bread and biscuit. Slightly tart and zesty lemons, citrus, and pineapple. Light on the spicy phenols and banana aromas.
T: Up front is tangy, slightly tart and zesty lemon flavors. Lots of citrus and passion fruits. Husky wheat with a nice bread/biscuit balance. More clove and banana than was in the nose. Finishes a bit bitter.
M/D: A light to medium body. Very effervescent with high carbonation. Crisp, dry refreshing, and pretty much the definition of clean. So easy and enjoyable to drink. All day with this.
I am adding this as a Pale Wheat Ale instead of a Hefe because this has a bit more hops then a traditional Hefe should have. The added citra hops are great here. Everything works well, and an all around great beer. Huge fan of this. Highly recommend if you see it.
