A unique ale. If you've ever had and appreciated REALLY smoky scotch, you'll like this one. First sips, the smoke overwhelms you, but then with subsequent and smaller sips, the more subtle elements come out. Kind of like the first time you french-kissed someone who smokes. Definitely not for everyone.

Poured a cloudy amber body with deep golden edges when held to light and one finger of bubbly white head. It looks quite good, like a nice IPA. Scents of smoked malt and smoked Gouda with very light herbal hops in the background. Overall impression of aroma is of a very smokey beer, quite nice, though simple. Flavor begins smokey, again with a smoked Gouda quality and some light pine resin with a medium-high bitterness. Middle continues the smokey flavors, with a nice hit of pine resin and a high level of bitterness. Finish is bitter, again with the Gouda-like smokiness and a nice bit of hop bitterness and bitter pine resin, high bitterness overall. Aftertaste is smoked malt and pine resin and hop bitterness. Overall impression of flavor is of a an extremely unique flavor profile, smokey but in an odd way and highly bitter. The bitterness suggests an IPA but it is truly unique. Mouthfeel is medium-light bodied with high carbonation and resinous, smokey, drying feel. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a smoked IPA that is a bit more drying than usual, but not bad. Overall this is an odd, yet good beer. The smoked flavors go well with the piney bitterness of an IPA that are present. The sheep dung used for the smoking is not present at all and overall and it is a nice ale. Very unique and well worth trying.

Score might be a little low because I don't know how to rate a "Sheep Shit Smoked IPA" to style. How much better could it possibly be?
