Copenhagen 16/11 2021. 33 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Amber can in Borg’s usual design with a lot of text in Icelandic.
Pours unclear amber with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin almost transparent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, malty, toasted odor. Caramel, toffee, light roast. Hints of brown sugar.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a bit. Finish is fairly dry.
Toasted, malty and with a surprisingly bitter flavor.

L: Pours a slightly murky red-orange color with a very creamy slightly tan large head and several blots of lacing on the glass.
S: Earthy nutty malt, with some notes of sweet caramel malt, some berries and floral hops in the nose.
L: Notes of earthy nutty malt, with some sweet caramel and a nice floral hoppy bitterness, with notes of berries at the end. A very tasty amber ale.
F: Medium to fuller body with some creamy carbonation
O: This is a very nice amber ale, well balanced between the malt and the hops. Very drinkable and tasty, wish this was available in the US.
