Copenhagen 6/2 2026. 33 cl bottle from Spar, Støberigade, Kbh. SV. Burgundy label with name of the beer in white letters and the number and style in black.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small light beige head. Settles as a thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong, sugary, malty odor mingling with a candle-like scent and dark alcohol. Dark roasted malts, chocolate and brown sugar. Plums and raisins. Boozy scent of whiskey. Strong presence of rye.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, a little viscous, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Finish is sweet with a bitter underetone and a distinct touch of alcohol. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry.
Potent, sweet rye boozer.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color porter with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of rye notes are pretty strong with some dry bitter roasted malt notes and light black chocolate notes. Taste is also a mix of strong rye notes with some woody notes with some bitter chocolate notes and dry bitter roasted malt with limited residual sugar notes. Body is full with good carbonation with some warming alcohol notes easily detectable. Dryer then expected with more alcohol coming through then expected but still enjoyable.
