This is a *15.2%* beer - woah! Enjoyed during a week in it's native Reykjavik in Iceland. (Bought from the latter's downtown bottle shop).
L- Inky black, dark beige head.
S- Deep dark and roasty/toasty.
T- Wow, intense, very deep coffee notes. Nothing out of place.
F- Rich, pungent, deffo more of a winter beer.
O- Very interesting. Probably the highest ABV% beer I've ever had, which disguises it quite well. This is no 'Wow look at my ABV% kiddy beer, this thing is seriously accomplished. I could be pursuaded (blind-folded) that this is c10-12%, deffo a slow-sipping beer, it's that deep and pungent. At times I wondered if this beer was a step too far - 'Can a beer be too high an ABV%?'. But in the case of this beer: No! This brew is pretty amazing.
Bottled: 26/10/18. 330ml bottle. IsK1,390/bottle at the downtown Reykjavik Vinbudin (State Liquor Shop), that's £9-9.50 a 330ml bottle!
