Iceland, lot cheaper to have their beer here. Private buying club order, cellared since release of January 2022. Sugary rum on stout base with above average mouthfeel. Decent sipper.

Copenhagen 4/4 3023. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Black label in Borg’s usual design with the name of the beer in beige.

Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized beige head. Stable. Settles as thin patch of foam floating about. No lacing.

Aroma is intense with a sweet malty odor bordering on being sugary mingling with a warm boozy scent. Dark toasted malts, brown sugar, toffee. Dark Rum.

Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, slightly sticky, almost flat texture.

Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy searing streak. Finish is sugary alcohol.

Potent and sweet Barrel boozer.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with sopem black chocolate notes with some strong rum notes. Taste is also a mix of roasted malt and black chocolate notes with some strong rum notes with light woody notes and faint residual sugar notes. Body is full with good carbonation with some warming alcohol notes also perceptible. Very enjoyable rum barrel-agedstout.
