22 fl oz brown bottle served in a tumbler.
Hazy, two toned camel and golden straw in color. A lot of noticeable carbonation. Bright white foamy head that recedes to a broken sheet rather quickly. No visible lacing.
Musty, earthen aromas that 'dirty' up a somewhat bright banana and orange peel. Semi-sweet candied sugar is tempered a bit by a moderate clove spice.
Candied sugar up front whose sweetness is accelerated by a touch of vanilla and banana. Immediately following is a bland adjunct ingredient filled middle: rice, stiff wheat; very unappealing. Following by the thin middle is a slick, unbalanced burst of alcohol which is equally off putting. The carbonation is over the top and is followed in the aftertaste by another round of alcohol infused rice and corn.
Light bodied; overly active and unbalanced. The texture doesn't stand a chance on account of all of the flaws in flavor.
Quite simply a bad beer. A witbier marred by adjunct flavors and an unbalanced alcohol presence.

Will pour a five+ finger white head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Cloudy light amber color, ton of yeast left in bottle. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Lemon and yeast nose, flavor is same, smooth lemon and yeast. Decent wheat. $7.95 for a 22oz bottle from Bert's Better Beers Hooksett, NH.

22oz bottle.
Pours orangy gold with a half inch head of white froth. A solid, thin skim coat remained for the duration on the surface as well as some clingy lacing.
Aromatics lead off with spicy phenols, citrus, and a lemony wheat twang. Bright coriander with cloves, bubblegum, lemon peel, orange zest, and a hint of biscuits.
Light to medium bodied with a crisp, almost creamy mouthfeel. Softish and quenching.
Zippy spice and orangy citrus start the palate. Orange zest, clove-studded lemon, and bubble gum balanced with toasted dough and a slight tartness.
Finishes with lingering lemon, orange, and citric spice.
Very nice beer. Tasting quite fresh and no trace of the 7% ABV. Plenty of citrus and happy to fing a nice, tart twang as expected in a good Witbier. Reminds me of how I remember my first Allagash White tasted.

From the 22 fl. oz. bottle. The first batch was made available on Jan. 1, 2011. Sampled on Jan. 8, 2011. It pours a typically bottle-conditioned cloudy golden-yellow with about an inch of fizzy white head. It turns into a long lasting ring. Wheat and grapefruit lead off the aroma with a subtle barley grain note. Perhaps there is a hint of ginger. The body texture is around medium with a smooth quality. The taste is also full of wheat with a kind of tart sidekick. It ends dry. Overall, a nice beer.
