Pours a thick coal-black with a finger of creamy tan head that dissipates fairly rapidly. Aroma of rum and roasted malt. Rich taste and feel...very satisfying.

ACBF. Pours black. Deep roast, dark chocolate and a mild rum barrel scent. I think it's more of just a barrel smell than a specific type of barrel. Regardless, it smells pretty nice. Flavor actually strikes me as being influenced specifically by the rum barrel. It's more distinct here. Besides that, you have a fairly well structured, large Imperial Stout. Big bodied and slick. Enjoyable; would like a larger sample of this.

Amazing twist on a perfect beer, poors a dark used motor oil black. Taste like a chocolate desert. No complaints from this small brewery in Pittsfield Mass. By the far the best imperial stout I have ever tasted. If you like any kind of beer this is worth a try at 10.8% it packs a punch but you cannot taste any alcohol notes.
