A super pale, single malt (Best Malz Pilsner), single hop (Chinook) I.P.A. inspired by the effect of catnip on our brewery cat, Fuggle. If only beer could make us that happy… Catnip is our best shot - a light-colored, deceptively strong and hoppy beer with grapefruit and pine hop flavors and a refreshing tartness and ‘funk’ from our Belgian Wit yeast.

Well balanced, lots of sharp citrusy/slightly dank chinook, good bready backbone with hints of wheat. really dry finish. I love single hop chinook and this is done well.
Surprisingly cleanly fermented by the Belgian yeast--which for me is a huge plus. great pale ale for this hot summer. Hides the ABV

A: The beer is hazy light pale yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high dense off white head that gradually died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering both the surface and the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of herbal hops are present in the nose along with some hints of grapefruit.
T: Like the smell, the taste has flavors of herbal hops along with notes of pale malts and hints of grapefruit hops and Belgian yeast. A moderate amount of bitterness is present along with faint bits of alcohol. The herbal hops linger through the finish.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this beer to be interesting because although it uses West Coast hops, it definitely tastes more like a Belgian IPA due to the yeast. This beer is rather heavy compared to other IPAs so I wouldn't be inclined to drink more than one of these in one sitting.
