Not like any porter I have had to date, but complex and tasty. Dark colored with ruby highlights and you could actually see the other side of the glass. Not one flavor outpowered another as the malty, hoppy, chocolate, and dry-roasted coffee flavors mingled together with the mouthfeel of an Amber or Brown ale.

This was a lightly colored porter with an initially creamy head that dissipated quickly, but left a consistent lacing effect on the glass. Nice smooth cask conditioned body with a spicy hop profile and relatively clean finish. This one is positively different and quite good with a stack of beef ribs.

Nice smoldering roasted malt aroma. Moderate body with a surreal smoothness. Big on malt but still enough hops to go around. So complex I did not know where the malt started and the hops ended. The delicate beers win me over, this one is very delicate.

Had this as a cask-conditioned version at Redbones.... Dark brown color with touch of garnet, with a small fine head; leaves nice lace down the glass. Nose was very mild, just a touch of sweetness, if that, and some oaky-ness. Medium-smooth tongue with a medium-full body. Starts out with mild maltiness....oaky/fruity notes....ends with a mild, smooth hoppiness. Cask gives it some nice flavors. Good bier!!
