2014 vintage; drank 1/10/15 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown hue.
Dark khaki head; decent lace.
Rich milk chocolate, spicy coffee & mild banana nose.
Medium thick, creamy mouthfeel.
Roasted coffee, milk chocolate & mild banana flavors. Booze heat emerged as this warmed.
A nice coffee stout.

Black appearance with a nice caramel head. Toasty and nutty flavor that feels dark and lingers a while. Thick consistency.

Very dark brown draft pour with dense 2 finger head. Nose has an aroma very distinct, pepper or some spice, maybe cayenne. Taste has muted wood, little to no bourbon, and that spice runs over the malt bill. Very unique. Above average body and below average carbonation.

On draft at a Philly Beer Week event at City Tap House Walnut St. A lot of barrel, even when it warmed up.

Not quite up to my taste expectations for a BA imperial stout.

This beer is phenomenal. A bit more flavorful than the standard version, and also a bit less chocolatey. Complex and tasty.
