Label says hop is Vic Secret, an Aussie hop variety.
Appearance: Very hazy orange glass holds a thin white cover of foam that laces the glass. Don't often comment, but there was a lot of residue left in the bottle as well, looked a bit murky in there.
Aroma: A bit like Mosaic hops, a candied orange, piney, and earthy smells. A bit of tropical fruit (Hawaiian Punch). A firm worty note as well, smells under attenuated.
Taste: Heavy wort base, the candied orange and other fruity notes, some ester driven, some hop driven.
Mouthfeel: Medium carbonation, heavy body, acidic alcoholic burn slowly fades.
Overall: A bit of a disappointment. I have loved all the Terrapin offerings I have tried, and I really appreciate when a brewer uses a single hop as a reference for me as I home brew. I like they went with a newer hop variety so I know what that is about, it is a shame I don't enjoy the hop. I think it's personal preference as I don't like Mosaic either, and it seems popular of late. So, if you like Mosaic, or know you like Vic Secret, I can recommend this, but I regret getting the 6 pack.
