As the aroma of maple and coffee permeate the air reminiscent of a hearty New England breakfast, the sweet candy-like pecan praline taste of the South dances gracefully in the background. With all three flavors in perfect harmony, our "Maple Pecan Praline Wake-n-Bake" is sure to be your go to pastry stout.

16 oz. can. Black body. Smells of maple and pecans with coffee behind it. A little metallic. Tastes of coffee, maple, nuts, and some chocolate and a little roasted malt. Again, a little sharp and metallic. Medium heavy. It's ok.

On tap at Habitap in Greenville, SC. Revisited and tasting revisited at the 2024 Albino Skunk Music Festival with a 16 oz can served in a Tervis.
Aroma. Maple syrup and roasted pecans over coffee.
Excellent full bodied, smooth mouthfeel. I definitely prefer this to regular WnB. The maple and praline tame this mighty stout which strikes me as a touch harsh and bitter in its standard issue form.

Picked up a four-pack from TW-Greenville 6-8-22 for $21.99. 2021 Reserve received at TW 5-22-22. Consumed for review 8-31-22.
Beer poured black with a very nice tan head with the original pour.
Nose is strong maple forward, overpowering everything else in the brew.
Taste follows the nose as the artificial tasting maple praline syrup overpowers the coffee and malt base. Finishes sweet with a light touch of coffee.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall a disappointing variant of Wake 'n Bake, overpowering artificial adjuncts are not my cup of tea.

Looks: Pours like strong black coffee that hurting for a head. I tried but couldn't do it. Very thin ring around the edge with a small amount of foam lace sticking on the glass.
Notes of coffee, maple and pecan on the nose.
Taste was somewhat of a letdown. I was expecting a much sweeter stout.
Feel is a little on the harsh, seltzery side.
Overall: Don't care to buy this one again.

16oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours black in color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that has great retention
S- maple and coffee dominate the nose; earthy and herbal espresso and maple nut goodies. There is a nice undertones of candied toasted cinnamon pecans, as well as chocolate, coconut bon bons and caramel
T- sweet maple up front gives flavors of maple nut goodies, quickly followed by a fresh earthy and peppery coffee note. Mid-palate gives notes of chocolate, caramel candy, and fudge. The finish gives just a hint of nuttiness, followed by more chocolate and coffee, maple coming through on the linger
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns slightly creamy into a warming finish
O- a solid MnB variant!
