12 oz. can, 5.5% ABV, BBD: JAN2224
AROMA: Sweet with moderate scents of malt and caramel, which is then followed by hints of lemon and apple. Overall, a very pleasing and inviting aroma.
APPEARANCE: Pours a clear dark-copper with a very tall, off-white head, that dissipates fairly quickly and has almost no lacing. The head looked amazing while it lasted. Unfortunately, it didn't even last long enough for me to finish evaluating the aroma.
TASTE: Lightly sweet with mild flavors of caramel and green apple. On the backend there are hints of honey. The finish is semi-dry.
MOUTHFEEL: Medium-bodied with a slightly "rough" texture and slightly above-average carbonation. Not a bad mouthfeel, but if I had my druthers, I would prefer the texture to be a little creamier.
OVERALL: In general, I find this to be a nice rendition of a classic Marzan-style lager. It has a pleasing aroma and taste, and goes down easy. Which is exactly what I want in an Oktoberfest beer. Granted, I've had much better (and much worse) Oktoberfest beers, but this is one that I would be perfectly happy sipping on all day as I enjoy celebrating Oktoberfest with my friends.

Poured a dark, copper body with decent head and a mild floral aroma. Decent medium-body sweetness from caramel malt and a floral spring-like hoppiness and has a crisp, hoppy finish.

Light amber in color, smells like a märzen obviously, seems a bit more sessionable than other beers in that style, but I only had a single, so I couldn’t say for sure. Tasted great, I would buy it again for sure!

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours red orange with a small white head. Smells of caramelized grain with some fresh fruit. Tastes of fresh fruit and caramelized grain. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a good beer.

Pours out of the can a deep amber with 2 fingers of head with moderate lacing. Smells like toasted malts and perhaps some carmel. Taste follows the nose with the emphasis on the carmel. Delightful Oktoberfest!

Picked up a single from TW-Greenville, SC 9-24-22 for $2.79. No canning date; consumed 11-27-22.
Beer poured brown with an okay white head.
Nose is light toasted malts and not much else.
Taste is a toasted malt base that attempts to be balanced by noble hops but finishes more sweet than typical for the style.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and fairly refreshing.
Overall not a bad beer but could use more hopping.

Appearance: Pours a clear, golden-amber body with a near white head.
Smell: A solid toasty, bready maltiness with a little sliver of dry, herbal hops and small sniff of apple fruitiness.
Taste: Crisply toasted breadcrusts with a malty honeyish sweetness. Minimal hop character shows just a smidge of herbal character and bitterness. Small drip of apple. Finishes with a carbonic bite of suds.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied albeit light leaning. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: Hmm. Well. It was difficult to find a good variety of Oktoberfest beers this year, sadly albeit unsurprisingly.

12oz undated can poured into a mug at fridge temp 5.5% ABV. Can states it's brewed with 100% German malts and hops. The beer pours very bright light copper in color with light khaki colored head. The head recedes to a pencil thin ring and little else. The aroma is mild, malt heavy with sweetness that teeters between caramel and toasted malt. The taste is semisweet lightly toasted malt with a just hint of floral hops. Minimal bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Cleanly lagered and very easy drinking. Overall, very good Märzen. Outstanding if you want something to drink in volume. No residual sweetness or heaviness at all.

12 oz can served in a Belgian snifter.
Appearance. This has a fine looking, clear, dark reddish copper colored body but the short head is also short lived.
The aroma is loaded with caramel malt. While there's little hop influence here there's plenty of hops in the flavor; just the right amount to mix nicely with the grain flavors and to leave a satisfying mild bitterness.

Appearance: Pours a clear, deep orange to bright amber color with a massive and thick off-white head that lingers. SRM of 13-18. (4.25)
Aroma: Mild aromas of bread, toasted amber malts, some caramel. (3.50)
Flavor: Initial flavors of mild caramel upfront. Some amber notes present. Once this fades a bready flavor in the body before a slightly toasted, but sweet amber malt flavor. A light toastiness lingers. Leans slightly sweet and heavier. (3.75)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Lower carbonation. Finishes heavy, but not too sweet.(3.50)
Overall: An okay Oktoberfest here. The appearance may be the best part about this one. Absolutely gorgeous. However the aromas are nothing to write home about. Picks up a little bit on the flavor, but not much. Mild caramel, bread malts, amber malts with light lingering toasted-ness. Slightly heavy and under-carbonated for the body. It's okay, but could improve on a few aspects. (Rating: 3.70)
Improves as it warms. Should try it again to see.
