Thoroughly enjoyed from the growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate in a snifter. This fine
quad pours a nice clear ruby tinged mahogany with a nice head of off white foam that subsides
to a thick creamy ring, thin swirling pool, and showcases light silky lacing. Nose of strong booze,
candied plums, candy sugars, and notes of brandy. Flavors hit the mark with candy sugars and
brown sugars awash in light raisin and plum notes warmed with a brandy note and light cherry
with a subtle herbal note touched with a hint of floral hops and warming booze touched lightly
with a subtle yeast note giving hints of mulled apples. Excellent mouth feel; medium full body,
light carbonation, warming, inviting, and sweet on the finish with a touch of yeast that is lightly
dry.
Overall an excellent quad from a great brewery.
Cheers
