A Belgian Quad brewed with orange infused candi sugar, Vietnamese cinnamon and cacao nibs. Nose of apple crisp, warming bourbon and oak flavor with a powdery dark chocolate finish. Best served with a side of friends and family.
Purchased this at the brewery yesterday, the menu there that it's aged in barrels from Middle West Spirits. Unfortunately they haven't updated their website with that info yet.

750 ml caged and corked bottle, bottle #121 of 200 purchased at the brewery. Pretty sure this was a late 2019 release. Served in a Rockmill Brewing chalice, the beer pours a dark reddish/brown color with about an inch light tan head that stayed around for a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like dark fruit, cocoa, cinnamon, cooked apples, oak, orange and candi sugar. Taste is similar to the aroma, with dark fruit, oak, bourbon, cocoa, dark bread, vanilla, candi sugar, cinnamon and orange flavors. There's also a slight earthy bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit creamy and has a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was an enjoyable brew, the barrel aging certainly helped in this case as it's a big improvement over their base Holiday Ale. Certainly worth picking up if you come across some.
