On draught at the Columbus taproom, sampled from a tasting glass. Dark brown colored body, with a tan head and ruby and deep orange highlights. Big aromas and flavors of dark cocoa up front, followed by notes of molasses, dried black cherry, and spice. The fruity notes and spicy heat become more prominent as the beer warms up a bit. Dark roasted malt and lots of char round out the profile. Medium bodied, with a bitter kick on the back end and a little sweetness lingering on the finish. Overall, a very good beer.
