Tasty and full of character…

A dark brown beer showing a great range of complex aromas. Enticing toffee and roasted cofffee notes on the nose give way to a creamy but suprisingly well balanced and easy drinking beer. Shows hints of chocolate and black coffee on the palate. Wendelinus Tenebris: a great balance between sweetness and character.

Dark brown with a slight ruby tinge when held to the light. Cloudy with no visible carbonation. Topped with 1 finger of beige head.

Smells of prune juice, cherries, figs, and hints of black liquorice.

Dark toasted notes, pizzeria dough, biscuit, and a light sweetness. A hint of moth ball too.

Thick, chewy body, with moderate to high carbonation.

Got this one sent up from Bangkok, drinking in Chiang Mai October 8th, 2017. Flavourful, and not overly high in ABV, its perfect if you want the style without getting easily sloshed.

Drank out of 50cl can, sampled out of a freshly cleaned schnapps glass for appearance. (Was on a promotional shelf at Intermarche, meaning who knows how this beer has been stored until me drinking it. It got drank five months before the best by date though!).
Look: Pours a dark amber brown, with a khaki tan head. Thin head with little retention (an island of bubbles stayed on the surface).
Smell: Coffee and roasted grain lightly. Lightly.
Taste: Cola and coffee, with some weird simple sugar taste. Honestly reminds me of rice adjuncts even though this is all barley malt on the can ingredients.
Feel:The more I drink this, the more it is making me think I'm drinking a coke that someone has spiked. The body is thin and syrupy aided by an acceptable amount of carbonation.
Overall: I've had Meteor beers on tap and this doesn't seem in line with those experiences. I'm thinking my particular can was a bit 'off'.
