The beer pours a dark amber color with a thick frothy off-white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is average. It has a musty, yet slightly malty scent with a dry finish. The taste is average also. Again, it has a musty flavor with a dry grainy aftertaste. It goes down smooth, but that aftertaste is horrible. The mouthfeel is good. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This isn't the worst beer I've had, but it's got to be the worst Maibock ever.
