The beer pours a dark amber/brown color with a towering offwhite head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is average. It has a mildly malty scent that boasts of pale, crystal, and roasted malts. It's sweet as well as musty with some light hopping. The taste is average also. It has a very musty flavor along with some crystal malt sweetness and a bitter hop aftertaste. The mouthfeel is decent. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate/good carbonation. This is an average Scottish ale. I would like to taste it without the musty flavor and aroma.
