Was not a fan of this beer, the food, or the staff here. But more about the beer.. have you ever bought a bottled beer cold, then left it in your trunk on a hot summer day, then re-cooled it in the freezer only to forget that its there so that when the top pops off, you let it that in the sink and drink it so that you dont waste it?? yep, thats the taste and quality of this beer

Off tap at the brewery this beer was a truly opaque black color with two fingers of tan head. The head retained decently fading to a collar but eventually to nothing leaving little lacing along the way. The aroma was light, chocolate, light coffee, roasted malt, blackened malt and a trace of peat smoke. The flavors were better than most of their offerings, pretty good actually. I tasted roasted malt, dark malt, coffee (but it was semi-astringent, almost like coffee grounds), hints of rose petals and floral hops. The bitterness was actually pretty high. The mouthfeel was smooth and very good for the style, the body medium/full and the carbonation light but appropriate as well.
