In this part of Blumenau, the establishment of Wunder Bier stands out among the crowd. Small houses, industrial buildings, and grassy hills dot the scenery, but Wunder Bier breaks the chain with its Teutonic exterior and very large outdoor beer garden. The interior decor could be more up to beat with the exterior and beer garden, but it is clean and you can view the brewing tanks through a glass window.
With a planned trip to Bierland later on, I chose to skip the food and focus on the beers. Four different beers on-tap, which includes a rotating beer. Wunder Bier's pilsner, dark lager, wheat ale, and "beer wine" were the options for the day. The food prices looked reasonable, as were the beers, with a 200 ml of pilsner starting at just R$2.20 (R$3.20 for the rest).
Unfortunately, the beer's quality is not there. In truth, their wheat ale is reasonably good, but the pilsner, dark lager, and "beer wine" need some work to meet my approval.
Wunder Bier might be worth it to those bringing large groups of people and looking to eat. For a beer hunter who was alone and already planning to eat elsewhere, I can say I've been here and we'll leave it at that.
