473ml can - a 'New World Belgian Witbier'. I suppose that they could have just left the 'Belgian' part out of the name.
This beer pours a hazy, medium golden yellow colour, with three fingers of puffy, rocky, and somewhat creamy bone-white head, which leaves some dripping paint job pattern lace around the glass as it slowly but surely fades away.
It smells of grainy and crackery cereal malt, orange zest, coriander spice, a bit of old-school yeastiness, and further leafy, weedy, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is semi-sweet, gritty and doughy pale malt, sugary coriander, muted domestic citrus rind, faded estery yeast, and more understated earthy, herbal, and grassy hoppiness.
The carbonation is fairly tame in its palate-dulling frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and generally smooth, with a nice aerosol creaminess arising as things warm up a tad out of the ol' basement frigo. It finishes off-dry, the malt, citrus, and spice all doing well to linger about, looking for a place to happen.
Overall - this is a well-rendered version of the style, with the modern hops not really having all that much effect on the whole. It might be a tad sweet, but that could just be due to the lack of any real attendant bitterness. At any rate, worth checking out, and congratulations on the big 2-0!

Perhaps an odd choice for an anniversary brew, but it’s good. The hops compliment this wit and it really works. It’s not muddled and there’s isn’t any appreciable bitterness to get in the way like some “Belgian” IPA. I was skeptical, but it’s labelled rather well.
