Numbskull DIPA Rotator #14
Lacking logic, caution, or restraint, Numbskull is a hard-hitting and intense Double-IPA. To discover the most exceptional flavours, each new rotation is an experiment in hop lunacy.
Our 14th expedition has unearthed a treasure trove of exceptional flavours with the addition of the Strata hop. Developed in Oregon, US, this predominantly dank hop brings Numbskull back to a classic west coast hop profile with strong citrus and passionfruit notes that deliver an invigorating explosion of flavour with every sip.

Great offering from Lighthouse. Pint pour from bar in Ladysmith. Does not taste like a 9% beer.

650 ml bomber purchased from Liquor Warehouse in Vernon, BC. Split over two nights.
Pours a bright clear orange golden with a finger of just slightly off white creamy head with a gentle decant.
The aroma is an admixture of citrus, strawberry and dank herbaceous hops - hints of melon and pine - the combination is quite delightful.
Ripe citrus on the palate; berries, again a bit of melon with dank and resinous hops - sweet caramel malt giving way to a spicy herbal bitterness. Is there passionfruit - having had passionfruit once and not recalling it to be be memorable, I really don't know...
Full and sticky mouthfeel with bright fine carbonation giving to a boozy bittersweet finish.
To date my favourite variant (though have not had all of them).
