Presentation: 12oz brown bottle. No freshness date.
Appearance: A slightly hazed golden brew with a massive, fluffy, creamy white head. Loads of stick and the head retains well.
Smell: Sweet smelling, with a tropical fruit-like aromas and esters.
Taste: Smooth with a light body and mouthfeel. Light malt sweetness with some creeping toasted flavours, fruity (tropical, like mango and pineapple) segueing into a gentle hop bitterness and bite. The palate then goes grain dry with a strong mouthful of grain tannins that are a bit coarse in the mouthfeel. This flavour lingers a bit too long.
Notes: A nice, light, hoppy beer, good potential ... however the aftertaste is not all that desired and outstays its welcome.
