Quite handsome orangey amber color in the Watou chalice. A thin mustache of foam but plenty of lacing in the glass. Spritzy and zingy in the mouth. Fairly light body. Tangerine note in the aroma.
This has plenty of the tangy, grainy rye flavor. Also a massive dose of hops. A faint flavor of dry apricot, straw, and pale malt. Warm and moderately malty with browned biscuits. Some cedar and tangerine, long bitter aftertaste.
Prickly and aromatic. Quite drinkable. A big mouthful of flavor. From the 64 oz jug purchased at the brewery tasting room west of Mount Vernon.
