Clear brownish amber with plenty of foam. Musty, woody, earthy aromas. Very English tasting. Grainy with a watery mouthfeel. Quite drinkable stuff, and different from the usual American Amber so over-amped with dark hop flavors. This one is nutty with a distinct caramel taste. There is a subtle bitter aftertaste. It's more like a Brown Ale with some nutshells in the finish. From the 16 oz can purchased at the brewery tasting room. This version is 5.6% ABV.
