Mid-amber colored brew with a sudsy pour in the Affligem chalice. Light body but with a malty presence. Grapefruit nose with some roast grain.
Malty and resiny, this is a pleasant crisp quaff. Not very bitter at first, but plenty of hop aromatics. Enough sweet malt to mellow the flavors. Toasty and flowery-- a nice combination. Aftertaste is more bitter, but just right.
My favorite of the current crop of beers at North Sound. From the 64 oz growler purchased at the brewery taproom on Memorial Highway west of Mount Vernon.
