North Sound is brewing a series of single hop IPAs, this one features Magnum hops, thus the name. Served in bubble pint glass. Poured a medium honey-gold with a thin cap of white head that,had OK retention and lacing.
The aroma was nicely even, though very strong, hops, mostly citrus and floral, with a bit of grain in the background. The flavors were very hop forward, there was a bit of a metallic taste, with a trace of malt in the background.
The body was decent, solidly fuller than average for the style. Drinkability was decent, bordering on very good. Worth trying if you see it.
