Poured from a 16 oz can into a nonic pint.
A: Pours a nice hazy orange with two fingers of foamy white head that dissipates fairly quickly.
S: Lots of citrus fruit, orange, lemon, and then the wheat backbone comes through. Also get some breadiness and yeast, exactly what I'd expect.
T: Crisp orange peel comes to the palate, with more citrus, some wheaty tones and a touch of coriander.
M: Medium bodied, crisp, and refreshing. Drinks easy and finishes smooth.
O: A real tasty hefeweizen here from Baxter. Aside from the ABV, I'm not quite sure what makes it "imperial" since it drinks like a standard here. Regardless, I dig it, and especially the 16 oz cans!

A hefeweizen that reads more like a standard pale ale? Overall flavor is pretty mild, and not really a strong alcohol note like I'd expect.

Has the ingredients of a Hefeweizen however the common traits are mild and too bitter to rate higher.

A-I like the look of this. Thick, opaque orange. A thicker, doughy, off-white head. Rather particular with it's lacing.
S-I know this beer is a little older but it's fairly hoppy still. I wasn't even expecting this to smell very hoppy. Bubblegum Hefe yeast. Coriander and some clove. Fruity because of hops and yeast.
T-The hops and yeast combine to give me a very nice apricot flavor. Bubblegum, clove, some light banana as well. Lots of wheat. Citrus, a bit like clementines and there are some neat pineapple flavors as well. Has a sort of whipped cream flavor that accentuates the fruit. Finishes hoppy with a wheat and coriander lining. A big, juicy Hefeweizen.
M-Creamy, full and soft carbonation. Moderate bitterness. Alcohol is hidden.
O-Imperial Hefeweizen? Sounds cool. I liked it a bunch because they hopped it up and made it really juicy but it still stayed true to many Hefe aspects. This is one of the more unique beers I have tried recently. I liked it a bunch.
