16 oz can into a pint glass.
Looks nice, deep dark red wine colored body. Small white head dissipates to a ring and faint covering. Not much lacing
Getting some raisin on the nose.
On tasting, bitter dark chocolate and a significant roastiness. There is a dry peanut hit right at the end.
Mouth between medium and full, finish roasted malt with a little chocolate.
Overall, an okay beer. Would have enjoyed more if the roast had been dialed back a bit.

A: Pours a deep brown color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a decent cap
S: A mix of toasted malt, chocolate, and peanuts. Some caramel and raisin in there as well
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the peanuts and toasted malt and then picks up some chocolate and caramel. Raisins are there, but more of an afterthought. Finishes with lingering peanuts and toast
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation
O: A nice ‘trail mix’ brown ale that nicely highlights the peanuts and chocolate without being overly sweet. Definitely interesting and worth checking out
